About JoJo Gaul, LCSW-C
As a licensed clinical social worker, I work from a strengths-based perspective and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Skills (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills (DBT), Parent Management Training (PMT), Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT), and Mindfulness to help clients achieve their goals.
I constantly strive to meet the individual needs of my clients by balancing their desire to be validated and their willingness to change and learn skills and tools.
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and my Master’s in Social Work from the National Catholic University School of Social Service in 2001.
I am an approved provider of social work continuing education through the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Program.
I value being authentic, responsive, fully committed, creative, and hopeful for my clients.
Personally, I love being outside, especially in or near water, listening to podcasts of all kinds, bonfires, stars, tea, caramel macchiatos, cute coffee shops, feeling strong (sometimes), good pizza, playing cards, fun conversations with strangers, and being with family and friends.
